Hi there!
I'm Rachael, the inventor and founder of keote.
The concept for keote took shape while I was living in downtown Minneapolis where my frequent trips to the grocery store and the local corner market resulted in a common dilemma: I'd forget my reusable bag
On the rare occasions I managed to remember a tote, it never quite fit in my fanny pack or crossbody, leaving me to awkwardly carry the empty bag flapping in the wind on my way to the store. I also happen to be one of those people who likes to color-coordinate everything, so the bright and mis-matched reusable bags I had lying around just weren't cutting it.
One day, I went to my roommate and said, "why isn't there a tote bag that can fold small enough to fit on my keychain?!" After all, who leaves the house without their keys?? It was a simple idea that sparked a vision for a new kind of tote.
With no formal training but a knack for problem solving and an ambitious mindset, I decided if no one else was going to do it, why shouldn't I? I set to work and after countless design iterations, material sourcing, and a variety of trials later - the keote you see today was born.
I've always had a strong conviction that the items we purchase should feel true to who we are in both purpose and aesthetics, so I made sure the keote would be just that. I'm so excited to offer a high-quality, intentionally designed product that helps busy people like myself make a positive impact on the environment without sacrificing functionality or their personal style.
I thank God for this opportunity - and I am so glad you're here!
