I think we’ve been underestimating burgundy as a warm-weather color. Like sun-ripened berries, chilled pinot noir, or bougainvillea climbing a whitewashed wall, it comes alive in summer.

Summer is best when it's spontaneous. Going with the flow, following the sea breeze, and leaving space for wherever the day takes me. The burgundy keote has become one of those things I bring without thinking. The color goes with everything in my suitcase, and the tote clips onto my bag until I need extra room for beach towels, farmers market peaches, or little treasures I find along the way.
