Artikel: an airport necessity

an airport necessity
I’ve said this before - but when setting out to create the keote - I truly only envisioned it being used for shopping and grocery runs. (Spoiler, I was selling the idea short!!)
In our pre-launch days, I had my first four keote samples and was capturing as much content as I could. I distinctly remember the first time I went to the airport with my freshly minted keotes in tow - excited to get to use them once I reached my destination. But once I stepped out of the uber a little light bulb moment went off: I always get snacks and magazines and drinks at the airport and never have room for them in my bag.
I bee-lined to the grab-and-go shops, picked up my favorites and set my phone down to record. That resulted in our first truly viral video. And now I know why. It resonated with the traveler. We all can relate to the many moments you’re at the airport and your hands are a little too full.
Traveling over the years I’ve had more of those light bulb moments - and discovered five very clutch ways the keote has come to the rescue at the airport.

1) Going through TSA
I know it’s impractical, but the majority of my wardrobe is white, cream and beige. So of course I cringe at the idea of taking off my white jacket or purse and putting it on the security conveyor belt that sees thousands of shoes a day!! Cue the keote. This also applies to neck pillows! Truly a TSA game changer to keep your precious belongings germ free.

2) Loading up on goodies
As fore-mentioned - I’m always gearing up for the flight with snacks, magazines and drinks and between my carry on and personal item I simply never have the hands for it all. This one’s a no brainer.
And for my fellow moms - you already know this is for you. Between diaper changes, snacks and toys to keep them entertained, having a quick place to stash it all away is a necessity.

3) Layers, layers, layers
One of my favorite travel hacks is wearing my bulkiest items to the airport so they don’t take up room in my luggage - but that often leads to me overheating pretty quickly. So before I start sweating and getting overstimulated I’ll toss my extra layers in the keote hands free. Easy!

4) Stowed under the airplane seat
Here’s a question I don’t want to know the answer to… do airplanes ever clean their carpet?
When flying I always want to have access to my water bottle, book, laptop and most recently, my breast pump. These things don’t typically all fit in my personal item so I use the keote to assemble it all. Meaning I don’t have to open the overhead bins mid-flight and my belongings aren’t loose rolling around on the very questionable airplane floor.

5) Tipping the scales
Last, but certainly not least is the most clutch way the keote has saved my travel days - when I’ve overpacked OR acquired too many souvenirs on vacation and my luggage is the dreaded overweight 50+ lbs. Instead of paying the $100 fee or man handling the heaviest things I can pull out of my suitcase through security (yes, I have in fact carried three loose pairs of jeans through TSA) - I toss the extras into my keote and don’t stress about it.
And even with allllll these uses - my actual favorite thing about it is that it doesn’t clash with my outfit. I shamelessly love a good airport fit and would hate to ruin one with a schleppy look.
I think that’s all for now - although I’m going to keep it at the ready for my next trip and will round back if I find another use! We can chat next time about how I’ve ended up using this little keychain once I actually reach my destination.
Hope the keote can save you from a little stress on your next travel day. 🤍
love & blessings,
rachael
