2025 fall trends report 🍂

2025 fall trends report 🍂

As much as I love the summer months, summer fashion doesn’t do it for me quite like fall fashion does. Living in Minnesota, we get the extremes — muggy 90-degree days and sub-zero temps. It requires a wardrobe of just about everything (which, hey, I’m not complaining about). Fall lands right in my sweet spot though: warm neutrals, all the textures, and endless layering options.
I’m always keeping a pulse on the latest trends, especially what’s to come. And while I’m about to walk through some of the trends I’m most excited for this fall — the biggest thing I’ve learned in my style journey is to lean into my own personal style.
I’ve fallen victim to micro-trends a few too many times where I impulse-buy something, wear it once, and then never again. Beyond just wasting money, chasing every trend waters down my style identity. These days, I’ve forced myself to be really intentional about what I buy. I think long and hard about each item: can I style it at least 3–5 different ways with things I already own? Does it fill a true gap in my wardrobe? Does it spark joy in that way only pieces true to my style can? (Closet joy is real!) I could go on and on about this — maybe we’ll save that for another Fold post.
So, with that said, take these with a grain of salt. Invest in the trends that ring true to you, the ones you’ll wear for years to come.

The 2025 Fall Trends Report

Funnel necks

This is one I’ve always adored, so I’m thrilled to see more funnel neck button-ups, coats, even tees and tanks. There’s something so chic about a raised funnel neck collar — especially when you tuck your hair into it.

Fringe & tassels

I definitely identify more as a minimalist, but I love adding edge in subtle ways. Fringe and tassels do that beautifully — and trust me, you’ll be seeing them everywhere. I just snagged a cream-colored wool fringe scarf from Banana Republic that I cannot wait to style this fall and winter.

Colored denim

Don’t worry, I’m not talking about the bright skinnies we all had circa 2010. I mean chic, wide-leg denim in olive, brown, or taupe washes. I’ve been reaching for blue denim less lately, craving neutrals that flow better with my palette (creams, beiges, olives, rusts, browns). A khaki pair I just picked up from Mango is scratching the itch, and I’ve got my eye on the beige GAP x Beis barrel jeans too.

Suede everything

This was on my fall forecast last year — and she’s still here. I hope this year suede moves beyond just shoes, bags, and coats. Give me suede shirts, shorts, pants, everything. I’m currently on the hunt for a vintage suede blazer for layering season.

Animal print

Last year was all leopard, but I’m predicting more snake and zebra this year. I’m a biiig fan of animal print — but I’ve learned I don’t reach for tops or pants in it, they feel too bold for me. Instead, I stick to accessories. So I’ll be rocking my zebra flats and snakeskin clutch this year. Honorable mention for ponyhair - while not always an animal print, ponyhair is chic as ever. Try a ponyhair shoulder bag or pair of mules.

Shades of pink

Pink? For fall? Honestly, it does feel a little groundbreaking. I’ve been seeing brands like Khaite and Alaïa pushing soft ballet-core pinks, and I’m here for it. As you probably know, we just launched our Blush keote — and while it’s not your typical fall color, I think you’ll be seeing pink styled a lot of ways this season. I’ve been pairing mine with creams and grays, and it feels surprisingly cozy.

Leaning into your own personal style applies to all seasons, not just fall. As always, make it uniquely you.
happy styling,
Rachael
